BY FAR...................

We have successfully finished the first term of the program where we have leveraged the program by introducing it to the Negambo Educational Zone in Sri Lanka. With the assistance of the Zonal English Educational Director we called upon all the zonal school principals or representatives (21) to make up a meeting regarding on last Friday, 3rd of July at the Teacher’s Trainees Center – Negambo. 21 school representatives have confirmed their need of joining this project to acquire service from the foreign interns to their schools. The 21 schools are;

11. Welihena Roman Catholic Vidyalaya

12. Mukalangamuwa Bandaranayake Vidyalaya

As a result of this we have already brought down four interns from United Kingdom (Miss. Kamaya) ,Kazakhstan (Miss. Victoria and Miss.Camila) and Polland (Mr.Jerek) to Katunayake Roman Catholic Maha Vidyalaya,Dalukotuwa St. Anne’s Maha Vidyalaya,Seeduwa Bandaranayaka Maha Vidyalaya and Heennatiyana Dhammaloka Maha Vidyalaya. Especially very reasontly Principals of Holy Family Convent Dehiwala and Lakeland Inter American Internationa School has agreed to join hands with the Development program.

Already we finished this programme with following schools......

EMERGING LEADERS IS AN EDUCATION PROJECT AIMED TO DEVELOP INTERPERSONAL SKILLS, CREATIVITY AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS OF THE SCHOOL CHILDREN OF SRI LANKA.

INERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY STUDENTS FROM VARIOUS AIESEC COUNTRIES COME HERE TO WORK IN THIS PROJECT AND HELP THE LOCAL STUDENTS TO DEVELOP THEIR TALENTS

Currently AIESEC in Sri Jayewardenepura has a membership over 30.All the members are geared in terms of getting a unique experience through active involvement of different types of AIESEC projects which also involves internships. These projects include workshops, learning circles, mentoring.
